HOW IT WORKS:
Bands and Artists submit information for the "3000 Records Tour Giveaway" using the Entry Submission Form. Bands and Artists may also include available link(s) to their primary web site, Myspace, CD Baby page, YouTube Video, etc... Once the entry submission is complete each Band / Artist will be carefully reviewed. Music will be previewed and judged based on several criteria to determine 3 contest winners. Each winner will be notified and prizes will be awarded following the contest deadline. Entries will be accepted through the deadline, February 15, 2010 at 11:59PM est.
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS...
Q: What is the submission fee?
A: The submission fee is $10 (per Artist or full Band). All Artist / Band submissions will also receive an exclusive credit for $10 off a "Priority Listing" with CD Register. In addition, everyone who submits an entry will have an opportunity to receive a $5 discount off of the Ebook "Travel Like A Rockstar ..On A Starving Artist's Budget" (available only through this special offer).
Q: When will the winners be announced?
A: The winners will be announced on February 28, 2010. Winners will be notified by phone and email.
Q: What music styles are accepted?
A: All music styles are accepted from Artists / Bands that perform with live musical instruments may enter. Whether you play guitar and sing, or are in a full band of Any Music Style, you may submit your entry.
Example: Live keyboards / drum machines are acceptable. However, no backing tracks on CD, please.
Q: How much does the performing Band / Artist get paid for each performance?
A: The performing Artist / Band will earn $100 for each performance, plus free luxury accommodations, and promotion!

Q: Where will the contest winner be staying during the mini-tour?
A: The contest winner (Artist / Band) will be staying at two different resorts in luxury condos, with full kitchen, living room, nice bedroom, balcony, and more. Locations include Shenandoah Crossing near Charlottesville, Virginia and at The Palace Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (Ocean Front).
Note: The winning Artist / Band will be playing a minimum of two gigs during the mini-tour at the tour destinations. This includes small to medium size venues. Each show will also be promoted in advance (by 3000 Records) to local music fans to attract an audience.
Q: How many band members will be accommodated on the mini-tour?
A: Up to four people will be accommodated. However, if your Band has more than four members they will still be welcome. Additional Band members can always bring a sleeping bag if necessary!
Q: Wait! I'm a Solo Artist. Would I be able to bring anyone else with me on the mini-tour?
A: Yes! You can bring up to 3 other family members or friends along for the mini-tour.
Q: When is the mini-tour?
A: The mini-tour will take place in April 2010 for 7 days (minimum) with an option to stay and relax for an additional 3 days (no charge). That's up to 10 days total! The winner will be given approximately 6 weeks notice of the planned travel dates, performance schedule, and locations.
Q: Who are the judges for the contest?
A: The contest judges are: Sarah Schemansky (Administrative Coordinator, 3000 Records), Steve Thaemert (founder, Indiedrive), and Erin Dallis (PR Writer, CDPressRelease.com)
Q: How will this contest be judged?
A: Artists and Bands will be judged by the following criteria: 1.) Songwriting Ability, 2.) Presentation, 3.) Creativity, 4.) Originality.
Q: I never win anything! Why should I enter?
A: Regardless, we will be objective in judging this contest. The judges will review your complete information, listen to your music online, visit each of your web links, and research your music online to find even more about your music. Your entry will be taken seriously unlike other contests you may have entered online. Besides an incredible opportunity to win our Grand Prize, 2nd place or 3rd place prize, you also get a $10 credit towards CD Register., plus a $5 discount off an "Unreleased" Ebook called "Travel Like A Rockstar ..On A Starving Artist's Budget"! Q: Wait! One more question. How long will the performance be?
A: Since the winning Artist / Band will be the headlining act during each show, the performance time should be at least 45 minutes. A guest performer will also be playing as an opening act.
